(More customer reviews)Works exceptionally well with my desktop system. I wanted to add another gig to my system and this worked very well. I ran Windows XP with only 1 GB of memory (two 512 MB Kingston KVR533D2N4/512 modules). To help improve performance, I purchased two more.
Installing the memory into my system was not difficult at all. However, I did have to remove my video card before installing the new memory. Apparently, the BIOS remembers the memory configuration with the video card so it must be removed prior to installing additional memory.
I shut down and unplugged everything from my computer. I opened the case and removed the video card.I reassembled the system. I booted the system without the video card installed. I let it stay powered on for several minutes and then shut down the system. I repeated the disassembly and I installed the memory in the two available slots. Reassembled the system and powered it on. It works as designed.

ValueRAM's KVR533D2/512R is a 64M x 64-bit (512MB) DDR2-533 CL4 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory module. The components on this module include eight 64M x 8-bit (16M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR2-533 SDRAM in FBGA packages. This 240-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +1.8V.
