(More customer reviews)Focal length locking sleeve very difficult to operate when lens is tripod mounted; must remove from tripod and wrestle the two sections loose. The permanent lens hood makes installing a filter very awkward since there is very little room inside the opening to insert the filter safely. The lens and camera combo is unbalanced with the center of balance toward the end of the lens. Very difficult to focus, especially at 2600mm. The image is better with a 170-500mm cropped.
The Stedi-Stock Shoulder Brace is almost useless with this lens as there is no way to actually hold the Stock and look through the view finder and operate the shudder release.
