(More customer reviews)I purchased the vivitar wireless shutter release a few months ago to aid in some infrared landscape photography. the wireless shutter release works great. it has a lot of features and does exactly what it promises. there is, however, one major drawback to the device; its bulky as hell and if you want to keep it on the hot shoe (top of your camera) your gonna have a tough time fitting your camera into your camera bag. the only solution is to remove the wireless shutter release from your camera every time you put it away and replace it every time you set up. I've lost valuable-shots setting up every time I need to use a wireless release (which is almost every time I shoot). Keep in mind that this is only an issue if you have to hike around and pack your camera away a lot. If you simply have a lot of time to set up and shoot, you won't have a problem. like I said, the device works great but there are drawbacks to having a two piece wireless shutter release. I don't consider the device truly wireless because you do have to plug in the receiver that goes on the hot shoe. If you want a true wireless remote that is tiny, just get the remote that Nikon makes specifically for the Nikon cameras they make. it's half the price of this device and you won't run into the problems I ran into.
