(More customer reviews)I bought this set for my Nikon d3100 because the set was very cheap and came with everything I needed. With the price so low I was not expecting anything amazing and thats just what I got. The mini tripod does not support the weight of the camera so it is useless. I put the camera on it and it just sags down.
The large tripod is sort of the same way. If you set the head at a specific spot, expect it to sag at least and inch once you let your hand off of it. The design is not to stable. The legs are extremely thin and having my $800 camera sitting on top of it makes me feel uneasy.
The best part of the kit is the monopod and the remote shutter release. The monopod is made of very solid metal and hold my camera very well. The price of this kit was worth this piece alone. And the shutter release is perfect. It works great with my camera and is a must for anyone who likes long exposure shots. There will be no camera shake in your shot because you never need to touch the camera itself to cause the exposure.
All in all for the price this is a great set. The mini tripod though will be useless to you just to give you a heads up.UPDATE: Since the spider tripod was insufficent for my camera, the awesome people at ButterflyPhoto took care of me by replacing the spider tripod in this set and sending it to me. With customer service like that you better believe that I will buy from them again.
Also the new spider pod works great!
