(More customer reviews)I have previous experience using those cheap, flexible, peel and stick screen protectors and I hate them. I recently attempted to install one on my Garmin Nuvi and gave up in frustration between the dust and air bubbles. Those problems don't exist with this product. It consists of a rigid protector with a black frame that exactly matches the Nikon D3100 monitor. On the bottom middle of the black frame are the letters 'GGS' and on the bottom right of the black frame is 'D3100'. Once installed, the protector covers the monitor so that the 'Nikon' on the camera monitor is covered.
Before installing, clean the camera monitor to remove smudges and dust. The protector has a 3M white peel strip on the back and a clear lens cover on the top. Remove both strips, hold it on edge, and line it up with the camera's monitor. Make sure you have it aligned before pressing in down. Once pressed down with the adhesive (which seems to be only on the black frame area), it practically melts into the camera. No dust. No bubbles. The only way you know it's there is that the black frame is now slightly higher than stock. Crystal clear, too.
